Product Description
A deluxe four CD set gathering together a desirable selection of reggae classics from the legendary producer NINEY THE OBSERVER all housed in individual wallets with fully illustrated booklet.

CD1: DENNIS BROWN “DEEP DOWN” is one of the rarest cultural cultural vocal albums, engineered by Errol Thompson & Phillip Smart at King Tubby’s it saw Dennis and Niney combine like match and gasoline to light a roots flame that has never gone out.

CD2: I ROY “THE OBSVER BOOK OF I ROY” collects together the awesome run of hit singles that the late, great I Roy voiced for Niney The Observer during 1976 and 1977 are collected together here on LP for the very first time. This is foundation deejay music at its very, very best.

CD3: HEPTONES “BETTER DAYS” from 1978 saw Naggo Morris join THE HEPTONES and the Su Su Pon Rasta Man brought with him a heavier roots feel that was perfectly matched to the real roots vision of Niney the Observer. This already crucial set has been considerably strengthened by the addition of five in-demand roots anthems including two authorised Shaka killers!

CD4: PAGE ONE & THE OBSERVERS “OBSERVATION OF LIFE DUB” with rhythms laid down at Channel One & Harry J’s, Niney oversees a lethal drum and bass deconstruction of the Heptones “Better Days” album.

This is a not to be missed set lovingly assembled for the reggae connoisseur complete with informative liner notes from reggae historian Noel Hawkes.
