this record is just sublime, i first bought it when it came out in '79 and haven't stopped listening to it since. this is where it all comes together - tight rhythms, vocals that come and go and the magic of augustus pablo's melodica. this will bring you places you didn't know existed: spiritual music of the highest level. every home should have one!

If you are an Augustus Pablo fan, buy this immediately! If you are a fan of dub, buy this immediately! If you have never heard any Pablo or dub, buy this immediately: it's a great introduction! Ever since I first heard East of the River Nile back in the late '70s, I was hooked. This much-expanded edition also boasts informative liner notes. I'm riding that melodica wave!
